My Gear
Having gone from the Panasonic FZ30 to the Canon T2i, the Canon 60D, and the Canon 7D, I have finally migrated over to mirrorless, and to Micro 4/3's. The main reasons were the joy of shooting, more available--and cheaper lenses, and the ability to have it all in the OM-D E-M1, albeit with a smaller sensor. My camera and main lens (12-40mm 2.8) are both weather sealed, and both tip the scales with less weight than the 7D alone! There is so much on this camera that aids creativity, this space is way too tight to mention them. To round out my gear, I have a 40-150mm M. Zuiko lens (very cheap, all plastic, but sharp), and I retain my Panasonic LX7, which will become my video and backup camera (60p believe it or not). My bag and load is much, much lighter, and I'm having fun. The only other lenses I have in my plan are the Olympus 75mm prime for longer range targets, and maybe the sister to the 12-40 pro lens, the 40-150mm coming out this year. However, the "plasticky" one appears to do just fine.
